IN/FINITE is an unofficial Honkai: Star Rail fanzine centered around the phases of the relationship between the characters Blade and Dan Heng. The zine features over 100 pages of illustrations, comics, and short stories, as well as novel merchandise, created by talented artists and authors engaged in the Renheng fandom.
This zine is not affiliated with Hoyoverse, nor does Hoyoverse endorse this project.

Update March 2025: Thank you for your patience with our team as we navigate the circumstances regarding production of our EN zine.We have produced and received all merch items for this zine except for the books themselves. This is due to the team being unable to contact our translations mod for collecting submissions from and translating the works of our CN guests. Therefore, the zine layout draft was significantly delayed. The sample book is now in production to be verified before mass printing.Our best estimate of the shipping timeline is as follows:
April: Zine books received by shipping mods
Late April-Early May: Orders packed and shipped
End of May: Orders received by customersDue to the unreliability of our ability to contact our CN mod going forward, it is likely that we will not be able to host physical production of the CN version of the zine. Previous Update: The overseas agent our mod team is familiar with unfortunately no longer produces zines, which has necessitated we establish a working relationship with a new agent. This process has been in the works for some time because we aim to make sure we both are compensated fairly and through secure payment methods. Mod Cal is currently dealing with a personal health issue; we expect she'll give us an exact date for CN POs by the end of this month, and that they will run August - September 2024.Our EN supporters should note that due to Taobao's buyer protection policies, our team cannot receive payout from CN orders until after they are fulfilled. This should be a much quicker process than on finance + shipping mods' ends due to shorter turnaround times from manufacturers, but it does prevent us from purchasing our most expensive items (ex; the artbook itself) until after that payout is complete.We apologize for these inconveniences and for the lack of updates on our end. What is a zine?
Zines are fan-made collections of art, writing, and sometimes additional forms of creative content that revolve around a central theme (in this case, the phases of the relationship between Dan Heng and Blade).Is reverse lane/switch shipping allowed in this zine?
No, reverse lane/switch shipping is not included in this zine. However, this is a SFW zine and we understand that there are multiple ways to interpret Renheng and their dynamic with one another. Switch shippers are welcome to apply as long as they produce Renheng for the zine.What is the release-style of this zine?
This zine will be available in digital and physical forms. There will be the option to purchase physical merchandise along with the physical zine. Digital merchandise will also be available.What is the plan to address new US tariffs going into affect?
American businesses by and large are being affected by the new tariffs in largely unpredictable ways. We believe that our current project should be relatively unaffected because we manufactured and received the vast majority of our merchandise prior to any tariffs going into place. The only item left to import is our zine books, but as we initially budgeted for their price per unit to be higher, we should absorb any inflated costs from importation.
When shipping bundles to international customers, the plan has always been to categorize the zine as a "gift" to avoid high VAT and customs taxes. Whether or not zines are subject to additional import tariffs is dependent on each country's individual trade laws.What is the content rating?
The zine will be rated 16+ owing to the mature nature of Renheng’s relationship. Some suggestive content may be featured, but explicit NSFW works are not allowed.How will contributors be compensated?
IN/FINITE is a for-profit project. Contributors will be compensated with, at minimum, a free PDF copy of the zine plus any digital merch produced. Profits will first go towards providing all contributors with a full bundle (zine+merch). Any remaining profit will then be split between all moderators and participants involved in the project as such: 20% split among the mod team, 80% split among contributors.
Please note, contributors will need a PayPal account in order to receive any monetary compensation. Minors will be required to provide a parent/guardian's PayPal account or will have to forfeit their compensation.Will other characters be allowed in the zine?
Other characters may be featured, but Dan Heng and Blade should be the focus of all pieces. Ships that feature Dan Heng and/or Blade with other characters are not allowed.Are AUs allowed?
The majority of pieces focus on Honkai: Star Rail’s canonverse and/or are canon-adjacent, but a select number of AUs will be allowed so long as they fit into the zine’s theme of “phases”.Please see our shop's about page for questions pertaining to zine orders.
